The Board Room meeting space is unique in the way patrons connect to the display technology found in the room. Unlike the Balkansky room, the Broad Room offers a solution for wireless display via the AirServer 2.
This solution allows nearly all mobile devices to wirelessly stream the display of the device to the projector found in the room & supply immediate connectivity to the device.
Some notes;
- The PC located in the Board Room is off-limits for patron usage due to security reasons, due to its connection to the city’s domain. Additionally, we typically do not supply patrons with devices for connecting to our display technology in different rooms.
- HDMI cables will be available for use in Balkansky rooms; I will order replacements this week and place in bags with a short note on their usage.
- The Board Room features a device called the “AirServer,” which enables wireless connection of nearly any device to the projector, allowing patrons to display their device screens onto the projector screen.
- Cables connected to the various tech found in the Board Room are not be tampered with without prior consultation with me. Whilst I am open to discussing any concerns patrons may have, the presence of the “AirServer” should alleviate most issues in this regard.
- Given the wide variety of unique devices in use today, many of which require specific adapters, it is not feasible for the library to provide adapters to patrons. We cannot guarantee compatibility, even with the most popular devices.
