- With the printer turned on, press the front cover button and open the front cover.
- Grasp the toner cartridge handle and continue to pull the toner cartridge out. Put it aside on top of a piece of paper.
- Unpack the new toner cartridge. Pull off the orange tab until it is completely out of the cartridge.
- Grasp the toner cartridge and give it a good shake before installing. Shake it horizontally back and forth about 4 to 6 times to distribute the toner evenly.
- Slide the toner cartridge firmly into the machine and finally, close the front cover.
Wait for the printer to initialize and print a test page. You have successfully replaced the toner cartridge of your HP printer and should be able to print again.
